       Dan,
This is just to let you know I got a very disturbing call from someone in production Sunday night regarding Senior Sentinel.

It seems they found something wrong with an ad and asked where to find the document. I said it was on my C drive and they responded with a rude huff-and-puff tone then abruptly hung up on me before I could learn more.
I know it can be frustrating when things don’t work out and people can’t spend half the night goofing off on the Internet, going around the office writing “clean me” on all the dusty appliances or engaging in other time-wasting horseplay.

I deal with frustration on an hourly basis here at work, as I’m sure a lot of people do. I still manage to be friendly and humble with everyone -- no matter what is dumped on me or when it’s dumped, regardless of whether I’m, having a good or a bad day. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that I be treated in the same courteous manner I treat everyone else.

I’m guessing he was angry because he had to turn on my computer to get the files off my C drive and not a network drive. BIG DEAL. It probably took all of 5 minutes to accomplish. I like to keep all my files (except the TV book) on my C drive. This is to avoid Jack Downs getting ticked off at me every week for taking up so much space on the network.

I know with every document I work on, the buck stops with me. I feel I handle that responsibility well for one person who puts out so many pages on his own.
Still, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I’m having a romantic evening with my girlfriend (That I only get to see once a week) and someone from work disturbs me with a nasty call.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind being called when there is a problem with my work. Jeez, I’ve even come in at night when things couldn’t be solved over the phone -- I understand that’s all part of it. I DO mind when the person on the other line behaves like a snotty little brat that didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas, then hangs up leaving me to wonder for the rest of the night what happened.

I don’t know where I’m going with this other than to say it was the first and last time I will be treated that way. I have a great deal of respect for you, all your workers, and the job you do. I feel I display that respect quite well. But if I get someone who is that rude and abrupt with me again, I will do some heavy huffing and puffing of my own.
